Dear Community Scheme Member,

No matter your community scheme—whether you belong to a Sectional Title Scheme, Homeowners Association, or Retirement Village—having your scheme registered and your rules certified with CSOS lays the foundation for legal security and effective governance.

Why register your scheme?

Without registration, your scheme’s rules hold no legal weight and you forfeit access to CSOS’s essential regulatory and governance assurance services. Certification guarantees:Your community scheme rules are upheld as just, reasonable, and fully compliant with the law. Trustees are empowered to lead with confidence, while every resident/home owner enjoys peace of mind knowing their rights are safeguarded.

How to get your scheme rules certified:

Begin by creating your profile at www.csosconnect.org.za
Next, upload all essential documents for your scheme this includes your rules, levy schedule, constitution or MOI, sectional plans, and audited financial statements.
To ensure your scheme is compliant, make sure your rules receive official CSOS certification, granting them the full force of law.

If your rules remain uncertified, trustees lose their authority and your scheme is left without vital safeguards don’t leave your residents/homeowners vulnerable.
